What is HomeCare?

The Basics of Home Care

Our caregivers provide quality service in all areas of activities of daily living including:

• Bathing, dressing and grooming
• Cooking and nutritional guidance
• Transportation to doctor's appointments, pharmacy, grocery store
• House cleaning and laundry
• Medication Reminders
• Help with range of motion exercise
• Conversation and companionship
• And much, much more…

In addition to these basics, our caregivers are the only healthcare professionals certified in The Balanced Care Method™, a philosophy of care and an approach to living for individuals of all ages.  Here at Home Care Assistance, we believe there is never a right age, just a right way to age.

Continuous Training Program:

All our caregivers are trained in The Balanced Care Method™ (link to BCM page). This method centers on the scientifically studied lifestyle factors that contribute to a longer and healthier lifespan, promoting total wellness and maximum independence for seniors. At Home Care Assistance we understand the important connections between diet, exercise, mental engagement and social ties to reduce stress and create the best life.  And Home Care Assistance is the only senior care agency with an emphasis on healthy longevity.

Our continuous education program teaches caregivers the importance of nutrition, exercise, social ties, mental and spiritual health, and how all these things can contribute to longevity and wellbeing for seniors and individuals of all ages.  Our caregivers are taught culinary practices and nutrition facts so that they are prepared to prepare meals for any client regardless of any dietary restriction. They are also trained in knowing what foods are beneficial to whom and at what times, dependant on client’s health, habit and goals.

In addition, it is important for you to know that our 300+ active caregivers must pass background checks, work authorization checks and our exclusive psychological screening test for home care aides. Home Care Assistance of Danville only employs the best caregivers in the area who have a passion for eldercare and are committed to our mission of providing seniors with the best care possible.
